Career Readiness – Compass Series

Career Readiness

Career Readiness For Youth (CRFY)

Bridging Strengths with Career Readiness Support

Do you know students whose decision-making would be improved through understanding their personal values?

Would they be able to better navigate their future choices for classes and careers by self-awareness of their own values?

Do you know students who can enhance their professional workplace skills?

CRFY Purpose

Our CRFY curriculum invites students, counselors and accredited coaches to work together over time to bridge student strengths and interests with important decisions related to the selection of majors, courses, and career pathways.  Through online and in-person facilitated inquiry of personal values, individuals and groups work with a counselor or coach to explore our Compass Series leadership assessment and action steps.  Students identify their own personal pathway of values and strengths. These important personal elements inform the creation of a personal branding emblem, career strategy statement, and ongoing decision-making and goal setting related to the selection of majors, courses, and career pathways.

We offer training of the program to counselors, mentors and other educators. We are also available as mentors and facilitators.

CRFY Outcomes

Students participate in an integrated online and in-person leadership process that includes personal values exploration. This process bridges ongoing support from counselors and mentors with important student identified pathways of personal values, strengths and skills. Participants acquire professional leadership skills while they participate in our facilitated inquiry program. A few of the measurable milestones include:

  • Personal Pathway of Values, Strengths, and Skills
  • Personal Branding Emblem available to share online
  • Elevator Pitch
  • Career Strategy Statement
  • Student-centered decision making in collaboration with counselor or coach
  • Active Counselor/Coach support through our mobile website
  • Professional Workplace Skills
  • Professional Leadership
  • Improved self confidence and self worth
  • Expanded decision making about their careers
